FAQs

Filter & Technology

How does nanofiber filtration work?

Our nanofibers are created through electrospinning, which produces fibers 1,500x thinner than human hair.
These ultra-fine fibers are arranged in multiple layers with optimized spacing, creating an engineered matrix.
The precise arrangement of fibers allows high water flow while trapping particles efficiently on the surface, rather than deep within the filter. This surface-capture approach maintains consistent flow rates throughout the filter's life.

What does the filter remove?

The filter removes bacteria, viruses, microplastics, pharmaceuticals, heavy metals, chlorine taste, and odors.

How long does the filter last?

2 months or 150L of water, whichever comes first.

What makes nanofiltration better than other filtration?

Nanofiltration operates at a more refined scale than traditional microfiltration. While microfiltration typically filters particles down to 0.1-10 micrometers, our nanofibers work at 50-500 nanometers - enabling removal of much smaller contaminants. This finer scale, combined with optimized fiber spacing, creates better flow rates with less pressure needed. The result is superior filtration of bacteria, viruses, and microplastics while maintaining effortless drinking experience. Therefore, the key difference is scale and efficiency.

This allows for:

  • More precise particle capture
  • Better flow dynamics
  • Less pressure required for filtration.
  • Enhanced removal of microscopic contaminants

Why is there Activated Carbon Fiber Core in the filter?

The Activated Carbon Fiber core provides microscopic-level purification. It absorbs dissolved heavy metals, eliminates chlorine taste and odors, and enhances natural taste. While the nanofibers handle particulate filtration, the carbon core targets dissolved contaminants, creating a comprehensive purification system that delivers crisp, clean water.

What is the difference between Activated Carbon Block and Kor Plus’ Activated Carbon Fiber?

While both filter impurities, Activated Carbon Fiber offers several advantages over traditional carbon blocks:

  • Structure: Carbon Fiber has a more uniform, engineered fiber structure vs carbon block's compressed carbon particle
  • Surface Area: Carbon Fiber provides greater surface area for absorption in a smaller space.
  • Efficiency: Fiber format enables faster absorption kinetics and more efficient contaminant removal
  • Flow Rate: Carbon Fiber's structure allows better water flow with less resistance
  • Integration: Fiber format integrates more effectively with our nanofiber layers for comprehensive filtration

Usage & Maintenance

Can I put other beverages in my Kor Plus?

Yes, when in sports mode (filter removed, just the straw bottle). Perfect for electrolytes and supplements.

How do I clean my Kor Plus?

Always remove the filter before washing your Kor Plus. The Tritan™ body is dishwasher safe when filter is removed. However, in order to extend the life and finish of your Stainless Steel Kor Plus, hand wash with mild soap. The lid is dishwasher safe.

Is the bottle leak proof?

Yes, the dual-function lock system ensures worry-free transport.
