Frequently Asked Questions
-
Clean your bottle
Wash bottle on first use by hand or dishwasher (top rack safe). Separate cap, straw and bottle bottom when washing. Allow to dry.
-
Prepare the KOR+ filter for use
To prep filter, rinse under running water for 20 seconds. Then, soak overnight (8 hours) in water within bottle (do not yet place filter in straw). Soaking in water helps optimize the minerals in filter for first use. For more details, please check out our Getting Started video HERE
-
Fill with water and enjoy!
Fill bottle with tap or filtered water up to level that meets the top of the KOR water drop logo.
-
How much should KOR+ should I drink daily?
While every person is different, we recommend drinking three (3) bottles of KOR+ daily to receive the optimum hydrogen benefits. KOR+ can be a central part of your overall daily hydration such as regular water, coffee, juice, water-rich foods, etc.
-
How much water does the KOR+ bottle hold?
The bottle holds 610mL or 20.6 ounces.
-
When should you drink KOR+?
For best performance, consider drinking one bottle slowly and consistently in the morning, afternoon and evening at times other than eating and exercise. Drinking KOR+ before and after your workout may help your performance and recovery.
-
Can I drink KOR+ while eating?
We do not recommend drinking water, including KOR+, shortly before, during or up to one hour after eating. Instead, we recommend liquefying your foods through chewing, which activates your digestive system (and digestive hormones followed by enzymes). Drinking KOR+ antioxidant and alkaline water on an empty stomach does not trigger your digestive system in the way certain foods do.
-
Should I drink KOR+ while exercising?
KOR+ works best when consumed in the hours leading up to exercise and hours after. As the filter restricts flow in order to enhance water with antioxidants and electrolytes, drinking KOR+ during heavy exercise might prove challenging for some. Further, proper hydration is best achieved through consumption leading up to and after exercise. Consider removing the filter and storing in tube during exercise if needed.
-
How do I clean and care for my KOR+ bottle?
Detach the straw and remove the filter. Put the filter in to the KOR+ tube provided, store in cool and dry place while you wash your bottle. KOR+ bottle is dishwasher safe (top rack). Recommended to hand wash with a soft bristle brush to clean the sides with warm, soapy water. If needed, use a small bristled brush to clean out the straw's mouthpiece.
-
Is it dishwasher safe / machine washable?
Yes! The KOR+ bottle is dishwasher safe (top rack). Be sure to first remove and store filter. Disassemble cap, straw and bottle for cleaning.
-
How often should I clean my KOR+ bottle?
We recommend washing daily (or at least every other day based on use) as you would a glass used for water. Since our mouths naturally harbor bacteria, it is highly recommended to consider washing daily. KOR+ cap does help protect the spout from germs when closed.
-
How do I store my filter while cleaning my bottle?
Use the KOR+ filter tube with cap for safe keeping while you wash your bottle.
-
How long does the filter last?
KOR + filter should be changed every month when your new filter arrives. The KOR+ filter has been designed to provide optimum filtration, antioxidant H2, eletrolytes and alkaline water for 1 month based on normal (3 to 5 bottles/day) use. KOR+ filters are sold by subscription only, so you'll never forget to change your filter.
-
Warning on altitude and temperature changes.
We encourage you to bring KOR+ wherever you go! Just note that altitude (such as going up in an airplane) or heat can cause pressure to build up in KOR+, which might cause water to spurt from the mouthpiece when the cap is opened. To prevent this, simply twist the lid open about a quarter turn to release the pressure. Then tighten the lid back on, sip and enjoy! (This reaction is quite common in closed containers such as lotion bottles, snack bags and other straw-based reusable water bottles).
-
Can I drink juice, Gatorade or other flavored beverages from the KOR+?
The KOR+ filter only works with water. If you want to drink flavored beverages, just remove the filter and the KOR+ will work fine. Otherwise, you might ruin the filter and/or cause your beverage to taste bad.
-
Will the KOR+ function without the filter in place?
The KOR+ bottle was designed to work best with the KOR+ filter. However, with the filter removed, the KOR+ bottle will work fine as a general sports water bottle.
-
What happens if my filter freezes?
We don’t recommend freezing a moist filter because the water will expand when frozen, which may lead to breakage. Therefore you should inspect the filter. If it isn’t cracked or broken, it will still function.
-
What is the bottle made from?
All components of the KOR+ bottle are made from health-safe, BPA-Free materials. The bottle and straw are made from BPA-Free Eastman Triton polyester. The cap is made from BPA-Free polyethelene. The spout is made from medical grade silicone.

-
Is the filter certified as safe?

-

In addition, KOR+ reduces many other contaminants commonly found in tap water. (Please note, KOR+ is for use only with US regulated tap water or filtered water; do not use with non-potable water that may contain bacteria or virus.)
-
What does the KOR+ fitler add?
